WCHA Playoffs
The WCHA playoffs this weekend for Wisconsin Mens Hockey are not at home. The Badgers failed to secure home ice for the playoffs and have to travel to St. Cloud. This means that the last three student tickets for hockey are worthless. Please do not try to sell them on ExchangeHut.
We have been deleting them from the database whenever they appear, but it seems like some users are either trying to rip off their fellow students or just don't know that the game is away. Whatever the reason, we are deleting them as fast as they come up and letting the users know that the game is not at home. if you did happen to buy any tickets for this game AFTER the badger had been eliminated from a home ice playoff game, please email us at refunds@exchangehut.com and we will put you in contact with the seller so that you can get your money back.

Basketball Season at Wisconsin
2007-08 has been another successful year for both the badgers, students and ExchangeHut. The badgers were undisputed Big Ten Champs, students got tickets for lower prices and ExchangeHut had an increase in tickets sold. Over 8,000 UW tickets were sold on ExchangeHut this basketball season, an increase of over 50%.
The average price for student basketball tickets actually dropped this year as well. Last year, the average ticket sold on ExchangeHut was just under $25, while this year, the average ticket price on Exchangehut was under $20, a drop of 20%. This is great for students as they are able to buy tickets to see great basketball at fair prices, without having to get ripped off by scalpers.
Hopefully, the badgers continue to succeed in this week's big ten tournament and then the NCAAs next week.

Football Ticket Prices
Hey ExchangeHut users!
We have noticed lots of users buying and selling tickets for wisconsin games on our site lately and wanted to give you some advice about prices so that you do not get ripped off.
1. in the past two years, prices have peaked in july and started going down, with the best time to buy in early to mid august.
2. the historical average student season ticket price is around $300-350. the current prices on exchangehut are high and will not last.
3. dont be afraid to buy individually. as tickets are mailed people realize they cannot go to all games and sell one or two of them, usually at better prices.
If you follow these rules, you will be much more likely to have more money left over to buy drinks before the games. Maybe you can get Miller Lite instead of PBR Light for the first game of the season!

Football Season Is Almost Here
As summer rolls along, we have been working hard to improve our ticket infrastructure and interface so that users will be able to buy and sell more quickly and easily. Keep checking back as the season gets closer and start listing those tickets!
ExchangeHut Mentioned In Congressional Report
Back in late 2006, Nate was invited to testify for the ACFSA panel on ways to lower the cost of textbooks for students like us. Below is a link to some of the info that we shared with the congressional panel.
Testifying before a congressional panel about what we are doing to lower the cost of textbooks for our fellow students was a great experience for us. We met some great people and heard about more solutions that others are implementing to help others!
